Beyond Zero Energy Capabilities

OUR APPROACH

We aim to be the preferred alternative to the usual utility owned and operated power. With expertise in both the civil and energy space, we do not only provide full EPC contracting services to both utility and nonutility customers, but we also built and operate our own power plants, taking advantage of the unbundled Modified Single Buyer Framework. We believe that Independent Power Producer are the future of the world and Namibia in particular, as this approach allows for private investment in new electricity generation technologies.

With the growing demand for electricity throughout the world, we aim to fill this gap without putting too much strain on national government budgets. We also believe that through the involvement of the private sector, we can contribute to the lower cost of electricity to the end users. Because our focus is on renewable and ‘green’ energy, we aim to participate, together with other potential investors in the following technologies.

First to produce power under the MSB Framework.

OUR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

The following are our capabilities and services that we cater to our partners and clients.

These solutions enable clients to diversify their energy portfolios with clean and consistent wind power.

Energy Storage Systems

To address intermittency in renewable generation, we offer:

  • Advanced battery technologies (Li-ion, flow batteries, etc.)

  • Hybrid systems (Solar + Storage, Wind + Storage)

  • Energy Management Systems (EMS) for grid stability and optimization

Our reliable storage solutions ensure energy reliability and resilience for both grid-connected and off-grid applications, enabling clients to maintain seamless operations even during peak demand or supply disruptions.

LPG & LNG Supply

To diversify our clean energy mix and support industries during the energy transition, BZE is planning the strategic rollout of LPG and LNG solutions, including:

  • Bulk supply and distribution of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG)

  • Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminals and micro-distribution networks

  • Use of LNG for backup generation, off-grid industries, and as a transition fuel

This positions us to meet demand for low-emission fuels in areas where renewables are not yet fully viable.

As Namibia positions itself at the forefront of the Green Hydrogen revolution, BZE is actively developing:

  • White and green hydrogen production facilities powered by renewable energy

  • Partnerships for hydrogen storage and distribution infrastructure

  • Future supply of hydrogen fuel for electricity, industrial, transport, and export applications

We aim to be one of the first major players delivering white/green hydrogen at scale in Namibia and the wider Southern African region.

Hydrogen Power Generation

From idea to implementation, we assist with:

  • Feasibility studies Permitting & regulatory support

  • Technical design and engineering

  • Financing models and investor facilitation

  • Project commissioning and training

Our experienced team brings deep industry insights and local expertise to help navigate complex energy landscapes, ensuring successful project delivery from concept to operation.

Consulting & Project Development

To further diversify our clean energy portfolio and provide reliable baseload power, we're exploring opportunities in next-generation nuclear energy:

  • Small Modular Reactors (SMRs)

  • Fusion Reactors

  • Waste Management and Decommissioning

  • High reliability, low carbon footprint, high energy density

Our move into nuclear energy aligns with our goal of creating a diverse and resilient energy portfolio. It allows us to provide reliable baseload power to support our variable renewable energy projects, creating a stable and sustainable energy supply for the future.

MEET OUR TEAM

Dr. Jerry Mameja

Jerry brings over 25 years of senior strategic leadership in energy and infrastructure, with a proven record of shaping national-scale projects that deliver long-term economic and environmental impact. He specialises in setting the financial and strategic direction of complex programmes, leading them from conception and investment structuring through to delivery, performance optimisation, and sustainability. His expertise includes advising governments, guiding international investors, and strengthening institutional capacity to ensure that infrastructure projects align with both national development goals and global energy transition priorities.

A recognised pioneer in Namibia’s renewable energy sector, Jerry has developed, owns, and operates more than 50MW of renewable generation capacity. Under the Modified Single Buyer (MSB) Framework, his facility remains the only renewable plant currently integrated into the Namibian electricity grid. He is also leading the development of a landmark 125MW renewable project in southern Namibia – the first in the country designed to export power to neighbouring states through the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP). These projects not only consolidate Jerry’s position as a market leader but also highlight his role as a visionary driving regional energy security, cross-border integration, and sustainable growth.

By combining strategic foresight with practical delivery, Jerry is a trusted partner to governments, investors, and international energy companies seeking to build resilient, future-focused infrastructure in Africa and beyond.
